One of the best 'viewpoints with a swing' of the Douro Verde.
Since 2020 many 'baloiços' (the Portuguese word for swings) have been put up in Portugal after they went viral on social media. The sympathetic parish of Soalhaes also built one near the old watermills, but this is the 'real' one and well worth a visit.
We give you the coordinates of the nearest tarmac road. From there it is a 600m climb to reach the baloiço. To reach the swing at the watermills, walk 50 meters down the tarmac road and turn left into a path.
