One of the most delicious and appreciated regional sweets in this Douro region are the Cavacas de Resende. They are made, as a rule, the old-fashioned way. During the festival of Cavacas the best producer will be awarded.
Besides the gastronomy, you can also count on handicrafts, liqueurs and jams and the good wines of the region. Throughout the weekend there will be no lack of entertainment performed by regional folk groups.
